CBCC
There are two Community Based Child-Care Centres in Kachere, Nsungwi CBCC and Kapitikusya CBCC.

About 200 pre-school children receive a daily meal and free education at the two CBCC's in Kachere.

When we visited in 2012 the community at Samuel Makoka met under under this tree

Land for CBCC
The chief of Samuel Makoka donated the land for the CBCC. SAFE-UK secured the funding at the end of 2013 and building began in the Spring of 2014.

Caregivers of CBCC
The caregivers of the CBCC at Kachere were delighted with their stack and store box given to them by SAFE-UK for storing their resources.

Caregivers training
The caregivers for the CBCCs have been trained by the SAFE staff. They receive a small monthly allowance from SAFE-UK so that they can buy basics like sugar, salt and soap.
